Manage Income & Expenses Around Payday: ‘Set Calendar Start Day’ Feature and 6 Exciting Updates 🌈
Money Keeper · iPhone App
Hello there! 😎 The most requested feature since the launch of the MoneyKeeper app, the ‘Calendar Start Day Feature,’ has been updated 🙌 It took some time to perfect for your convenience, but I’m thrilled to finally introduce it 💪
I’m also received many great suggestions from our users. As I wrap up the year and head into 2025, I’ll continue working hard 🏃💨 Check out the details of our latest updates below!
📌 ‘Set Calendar Start Day’ Feature for Managing Expenses Around Payday ✨
I can now set your payday as the calendar’s start day by navigating to [Settings > Calendar Start Day] under ‘More’ in the app. This allows you to manage your income and expenses based on your payday. The calendar’s end date will be the day before your payday. For example, if you set the start day to the 25th, the end date will be the 24th. This feature is available exclusively for membership users.
I conducted extensive testing for this major update, but if you encounter any bugs, please report them via ‘Send Feedback’ in the ‘More’ section. I’ll address them promptly 👍
📌 ‘Default Income & Expense Categories’ Setting Feature ✨
You can now set default categories for income and expense records. Enable ‘Set as Default Category’ while adding or editing categories, and they will be pre-selected when recording income or expenses.
📌 Improved Visibility: ‘Today’ Mark Changed from Circle to Rectangle
To make ‘Today’ more distinguishable on the calendar, I’ve switched its marker from a circle to a rectangle. Additionally, if the calendar start day is set to a date other than the 1st, two months may be displayed on the calendar. I’ve highlighted ‘Calendar Start Day’ and ‘Month Transition Dates’ with rectangular borders for better clarity.
📌 Resolved: Issue Where Language Settings Changed While Entering Income/Expenses on Mac MoneyKeeper App
Thanks to a valuable user report, this issue has been promptly resolved!
📌 Optimized for iOS 18 Dark Mode and Tint Icons
📌 Latest Apple Technology Integrated for a Stable, High-Quality App
Alongside the ‘Set Calendar Start Day’ feature, another highly requested feature is the ‘Shared MoneyKeeper’ functionality. This is a feature I deeply wish to implement. I spent five days researching the technology required, but the cutting-edge technology currently used in the MoneyKeeper app doesn’t yet support sharing functionality 😭 I plan to continue researching and hope that sharing features will be supported at the 2025 Apple WorldWide Developers Conference (WWDC) 🙏
I record user feedback using Apple’s default Notes app, which I consider my treasure 💎 As the feedback grows, I find it challenging to organize without folder-specific search features. Unfortunately, Apple Notes lacks this functionality 😭 So, I’m designing a ‘Simple Notes’ app! Like Scheduler and MoneyKeeper, it will focus on essential features and simplicity 🙌
If you ever need assistance or have feedback, feel free to use the ‘Send Feedback’ option in the app. I’ll respond promptly to help you 📨
Thank you for managing your expenses with MoneyKeeper. Wishing you great health, a wonderful holiday season ☃️, and a happy end of the year 🎄✨
