How to Restore the Bottom Tab Bar in Safari on iPhone iOS 26 (+ Handy Gesture Tips) 📱🧭

Scheduler · iPhone Calendar App
With the update to iOS 26, tools that were previously located at the bottom of Safari have been moved into the “three dots” button. I used to frequently use the “All Tabs” feature in the bottom right corner of Safari in earlier iOS versions, so now having to tap the three dots and then tap “All Tabs” feels pretty inconvenient 😂 I found a setting that lets me change the bottom layout back to how it used to be, so I’m sharing it here 🙏
(1) Open the iPhone Settings app.
(2) Scroll down and tap “Apps.”
(3) Select “Safari.”
(4) Scroll down and change the “Tabs” setting to “Bottom.”
(5) Now when you open Safari, the bottom bar will be back to the old layout.
Handy Gestures to Access Safari’s “All Tabs” 🍯
If you prefer the “Compact” layout with the “three dots” button, you can still access the “All Tabs” feature using one of the following three Safari gestures. Gestures 1 and 2 work even if you’re not using the “Compact” layout.
-
Swipe up just above the bottom address bar
-
Pinch in with two fingers on the center of the screen
-
Quickly double-tap the three dots button
