Over the past few weeks, I have been carefully preparing a major update for the Money Keeper app. As both a designer and developer, it has been challenging, yet incredibly rewarding and fun to design 👍
The feature currently in preparation is the “Account Management & Payment Methods (Spending Methods)” feature. I’m truly grateful for the valuable feedback many of you have shared. As I repeatedly read through and organized your thoughts, I realized that “Account Management” and “Payment Methods” are deeply connected. They needed to be considered together from the very first stage of design.
I also found that a solid understanding of “overall financial knowledge” was essential. To design this feature properly, I needed to think deeply about and fully understand not only household budgeting, but also concepts such as accounts and liabilities, bank accounts, and credit cards. I’ve been dedicating ample time to researching and refining these ideas 💪
At the same time, I am researching how to maintain “simplicity.” Adding “big features” to a “small app” like Money Keeper while keeping it “simple” is a significant challenge as a designer, and it requires deep thought. It’s challenging—but that’s exactly what makes it enjoyable.
In fact, I had planned the “Account Management” feature even before launching Money Keeper, so the current structure of the app will not change at all. I believe that those of you who love Money Keeper for its “simplicity” will continue to use it comfortably even after this update 👍
I plan to take enough time to design everything carefully and thoroughly before presenting it to you. I truly appreciate your anticipation and support ☺️
Countdown App “Dayte” Launch & Discount News 📆🦄
Among the feedback I received from many users of my calendar app “Scheduler,” which I have been developing alongside Money Keeper and other apps, one frequent request was for a “Countdown” feature. As I carefully reviewed your suggestions and researched the concept of “Countdown,” I realized that it is far more complex than I initially thought.
If I were to add such a complex feature to the Scheduler app, it would be difficult to preserve its current simplicity. So I decided to create a brand-new app instead. And on February 19, the Countdown app “Dayte” was officially launched!! 🎉 🎉 🎉

As “Dayte” is a “small app” specialized in managing “special days,” I paid close attention to “precise date calculations” and clear “expressions.” While developing Dayte, the part I thought about most was how to categorize “special days.” After extensive research, I organized them into the following three categories:
📍 Countdown
📍 Recurring Countdown
📍 Since (Date Counter)
📍 Target dates, exam dates, and deadlines are “Countdown”
📍 Payday and wedding anniversaries are “Recurring Countdown”
📍 Couples and baby month counts are “Since (Date Counter)”
📍 Countdown Widget

I focused on making the app intuitive and easy to use, and I truly hope you like it 🌈
Just like Money Keeper, Dayte was launched with only essential features, and I plan to continue improving it steadily based on your feedback 💪
